Blue and White Heart in Four Pieces
Oil on Metal. Roughly 48x48 (depends on how much space you put between the four pieces). This piece began life as the hoods from two ford f150 pick up trucks , each with over 20 years on the road. I cut up the hood and used four of the pieces as the base. The pieces were sanded, primed and then coated in high gloss blue oil paint .I then painted the white in the shape of many overlapping hearts. Its a piece about love and loss and rebirth. The void in-between the pieces form the shape of a cross. I believe that love is both delicate and tough. Love is overlapping and it builds upon itself.
